Hello, I've been remiss not sending this out sooner. The Pappas's asked me to send out a thank you to "a wonderful man named Sid" for helping them out on Christmas Eve (they had a small luminary fire). So, on their behalf, and the entire neighborhood, thank you, Sid. In addition to the kindness of a neighbor, they're excited that their summer grass will grow back better than ever this year (apparently, it is a common practice to burn off summer grass at the end of the season to promote growth the next year). [Editor's note: Not all lawn types benefit from burning. Only some warm season grasses. Not fescue.] Jon Ehret
