In the United States alone, 25.8 million children and adults - 8.3% of the population - have diabetes and another 79 million are pre-diabetic. Together with the American Diabetes Association, A Leesville Middle School Student organized this Walk; A Leesville Road High School (LRHS) Student designed the T-Shirt for the event; and, LRHS students from the Key Club and Executive Student Council are helping and participating with/in the event. But this is a 'Community' walk and our Springdale Estates is definitely an important part of this Community and this is open to anyone in the Community, young or old. So instead of walking in our neighborhood for exercise, on Saturday the 16th, come walk with your friends, family and neighbors; walk with the Leesville Road Community, at the track, to help make our contribution matter.
