Christmas Eve Luminary Display

Springdale Estates will again support Leesville High School Band's fundraising efforts for our wonderful luminary display on Christmas Eve. To order luminaries, please fill out the attached form and mail to or drop off at:

Orders need to be in by December 10th. Luminaries will be delivered to your address on December 14th.   
Luminary candles will burn approximately 8 hours and should be lit around sunset. The school has assured us plenty of sand will be provided this year.
  
LUMINARY INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1. Open bag and neatly roll/fold the opening edge outward into a 1" collar for strength.
Step 2. Scoop sand into each bag so there is 2 to 3 inches in the bottom.  It is important to use sand or kitty litter (as opposed to stones or dirt) as it will not only help keep bag upright but it will also extinguish the flame if the candle burns down or gets knocked over.
Step 3. Twist tea light candle in the middle of the sand at the bottom of the bag.  This will set the candle into the sand and will trap the wax as it melts, allowing it to burn longer.
Step 4. Light candles at 6 pm or before on December 24th and allow to burn until they go out. A long stick lighter produces the best flame to light the candles.

**Alternatively, for convenience, you can purchase battery operated votive candles online or in drug stores.
