A couple of community watch items... Just want to make everyone aware of the report of kids putting large rocks and mud balls across Lakewood Drive down by the creek. Last evening, two boys actually threw a large mud ball and hit the windshield of a vehicle at the same location and fled the scene... running down into the woods. The boys were probably around 9 to 12 years old. They should have been pretty muddy with clay mud when they arrived home. This incident occurred on Sunday night, June 8 around 8:40 pm. I'd appreciate if everyone could keep an eye out to prevent future occurrences. Next time, they may be throwing a large rock through someone's windshield causing an injury. Additionally... Since the weekend I've received multiple reports that cars were illegally entered and a birthday card with a gift card enclosed was stolen from a mailbox along O'Neal Road sometime Saturday evening/night. From the accounts I've received, the cars were unlocked. Please remember to lock all house and car doors. Also, while it's hard to know what will be received in the mail, please be sure that if you're mailing things of value to drop it in a locked mailbox (or take it directly to the post office), instead of leaving it in the box in front of your house.
