With the rainy/windy weather expected on Christmas Eve, Springdale will move the luminary display from Wednesday night to Thursday night.

If you will not be available to light yours on Christmas day but would still like to participate, please put your luminaria out sometime on Thursday and either ask a neighbor or contact luminaries@springdaleestates.org and we will try to coordinate the lighting.

We will work to get the common areas lit, if possible.  If you have volunteered in the past or would like to volunteer this year to help please let us know.

Luminary instructions:

Step 1. Open bag and roll the opening edge outward into a 1-2” collar for added strength.
Step 2. Scoop enough sand or kitty litter into each bag to make it sturdy and upright 
Step 3. Twist candle in the middle of the sand.  This will set the candle and trap the wax as it melts, allowing it to burn longer.
Step 4. Light candles at 6 pm or before on December 25th and allow to burn until they go out.
