Dear Springdale Neighborhood, My name is Sarah. My friend Louise and I are working on our Girl Scout Silver Award. It is the highest award we can receive at our group level. We chose to work with Loaves and Fishes, a non-profit organization that works with low-income children and their families. Children are provided with academic help, counseling, and family support, among other support services, until they graduate from high school. We are organizing their media room to provide an accessible library for the students, and we need your help. This library will not run like a public library does. Instead of returning books after a certain amount of time, the children can choose to keep books they pick. In order to allow the kids to keep the books, we need a large supply to be able to replenish the library when it is empty. The staff has asked that donors focus on new or used books for elementary aged and early readers. If you can donate books, please drop them off at 8648 Valleybrook Drive by Sunday, February 21. Thank you for your help! If you are not able to donate, thank you anyway. We appreciate that you took the time to read about our project. Many thanks, Sarah and Louise
